The Jingle Bell Blues Toy Run happened on the Maryland side of the river. This toy run benefitted local church efforts to see that neighborhood children weren’t forgotten at Christmas. The weather included some moisture, but that didn’t bother those who stopped in to donate toys and cash. I think you’ll agree when you look at the pictures, that everyone enjoyed the ride, the relaxation, the prizes and the friendship that occurred that day.

You can’t win, if you don’t play. Here’s our beautiful run sheet.

Folks meeting at Memories Charcoal House

Notice how the Treasurer always has his hand on the cash?

Some of the guys pose for another natural photo.

Toys are beginning to gather and multiply!

The most popular spot at a Maryland bar is in the smoking lounge.

Time to move the Toys.

On to New York J&P Pizza, another fine host location.

…and then to Wilcom’s. What a great place to meet and greet.

The ladies gather to plot against Ketchup, because he’s annoying.

Freak and Peter Panhead are ready to announce the winners.

There’s no sore winner here!!!

Another satisfied Winner.

The Tradesmen Motorcycle Club would like to thank everyone that joined in on the fun. If you missed it this year, you can bank on it being even better next year.

Tradesmen MC Maryland Chapter proudly announces our latest member, “Booger”.

Saturday July 25th, The Tradesmen MC took time to honor and remember fallen brothers at the annual “Holeshot memorial Grotto Run” to the National Shrine Grotto of the Lourdes, Emmitsburg, MD. We then rode to Snakeman’s home for food and malted beverage. The weather was good for the day, the ride was beautiful and the brotherhood was as always, strong and respectful. Here are some photo’s of this beautiful shrine and the picnic afterwards.

~~~
Snakeman made a trip to Las Vegas to visit one of our Original Charter Members, Frank. He designed and drew our Club Colors. Frank went to Neveda to work and liked it so much he decided to move there. Today he’s Still looking good and enjoying the good life with Gina on the outskirts of Las Vegas. (we’ve posted a couple more pics on the Maryland page)
The Tradesmen MC would like to thank those that joined us on April 25th for our Spring Poker Run in Maryland. and enjoyed our first 90 degree day of 2009. It was a very successful fund-raiser and we all had a good time. We had around 80 bikes on the run enjoying this outstanding weather. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be getting a check for $1,000.00 generously donated by YOU. Bravo!!! Here are a few photos. Several photos of bikes on the road.
Gathering at the watering hole.
The Information Board below provided us with an education regarding AFSP, their work and how your donations will be used. Thank you Trish for spreading the word about this great cause, and please visit their website at www.AFSP.org to learn more.
Freak and dot.com managing the cards. Nothing up their sleeves!
Peter Panhead makes the announcement of winners. Notice how everyone pays attention when Pete speaks?
Big Bill wins the 50/50 drawing.
Here are your prize winners. That’s “Big Bill” Tracy on the left, coming all the way from Leesburg, VA to win the 50/50 drawing. He won $170.00 and donated back $150.00 to our charity. Joanne Robertshaw won the Tattoo $100.00 gift certificate. Laurie Metz won the low hand for $50.00 and Jim McGlaughlin won the Poker Run with a Full House claiming the $150.00 prize money long enough to donate it ALL BACK TO CHARITY.
The Tradesmen are honored to be on the good list.
The Maryland Chapter welcomes our brothers from Virginia.
~~
We appreciate everyone that came out and thank the winners for their generosity in giving back in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Take a look at LJ (on the left with the “Support you local Tradesmen” t-shirt) soaking up the sunshine at the January 2009 Polar Bear Plunge, supporting the Special Olympics. It was pretty nippy out there, but LJ was up to the task.
When visiting the beach, bikers should always remember to wear proper head gear, sun glasses and certified biker flip-flops. Clinch shows you how it’s done!!
Tradesmen MC 2008 Toy Run
When we throw a Toy Run, even a Tornedo Watch doesn’t scare anyone! We grabbed up on about 150 new toys. Toys will be given to Damascus Road Community Church to be distributed through the Damascus Help Program, Thanks to everyone who toughed out the weather and came out to join us for the 2008 Jingle Bell Blues Run and a Big Thank You to the girls for selling the raffle tickets and to The Ronnie Land Band and Wilcoms Inn for some ripping music and allowing us to use their place.
~~~

Tradesmen MC was on hand to support the 2008 Out of the Darkness Walk. There was a great turnout. About 150 walkers came out. The event raised over $25,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The weather was perfect for a scenic 4 mile walk on the C&O Canal.

~~~
We sponsored poker runs in Maryland the last weekend in September and in Virginia the first weekend in October. The weather was not cooperative in Maryland, providing only a couple of dozen folks at the first stop. There, the group faced that daunting decision – Do we ride with the high possibility of getting wet or do we stay and have several of our favorite malted beverages??? Certainly a tough decision, but the vote was to continue on and do the run. It wasn’t 20 minutes before we were all thinking that we made the wrong choice, but when you’re riding with friends and family, who’s going to let a little rain stop us? Thanks for coming by and sharing the memory.
~~~

I hope you were at our 16th Annual Pig Out in Poolesville, MD on June 7th. What a great time was had by all.

The Tradesmen MC, always anxious to serve the community, provided extra entertainment. Besides the food, music, malted beverage, and camp sites, at your request, we provided a great mid-day firework display. The highlight was the electric tree in the parking lot. And, when you were hot, we provided near immediate cooling, leaving everyone to enjoy the wet t-shirt abound.

OK, the day was somewhat warm. But the bands were really, really HOT. Thanks to them for enduering the elements to keep us happy!! Here’s a picture of the first band, the Pat Paul Band, that performed before the “cooling” rains.

Things got even better after dark, as many malted beverages vanished.

Your webmaster really should get a camera that does better in the dark.

Here is a pic of Cheeseburger, rockin’ the field (Can you rock a field?). The band was smokin’ hot that night.

Feel free to send your pictures of the June party to your webmaster. I’ll post a couple more, if you can get them to me.

Here’s a couple of pics from our last toy run.
